Pillow monster and little October the Quadropus

October likes walks in the rain, human hands and cute cuttlefish (even though her parents discouraged  interaction with different species) Due to excess of lead and radiation in her residual waters, October was born with only four tentacles… creating the new species of quadropus. Having high expectations for their beloved but deformed child, they named her October, believing that there was power within a name…

* Due to pigmentoctotitis – colour blindness mutated into skin pigment staining, probably caused by the radiation – one cannot tell what mood she’s in by her colour changes, but rather, let us say, she is doomed to permanently wear her emotions on her sleeve.

Needless to say, she has quite the temper when unexpected things turn over.

Growing up as the only quadropus known to all species, October had a difficult time fitting in amongst the other octopus babies. They teased her mercilessly and excluded her from all popular activities. This left the poor sea farer without any hope of becoming what she had all her life desired to be… An Anti-sushi chef!

After years of ignoring her parents annoyingly gentle nudging towards working in the film room of a cinema -where no one would ever really notice an octopus short of 4 legs – October decided to leave home and join M.U.K.C – Monanimal United Kitchen Club… proudly donning their trusty slogan of “Just because we don’t look it, doesn’t mean we can’t cook it”

Activities ranged from creating culinary masterpieces with ingredients brought in by the Smorgasbord of species within the monanimal genre, to sports including one-to-twenty-armed-archery, anything-that-can-grip-wrestling, and the importance and drama of grand entrance making.

It was in this new home where October felt alive and free, and where she chanced to fall in love… with the Pillow Monster, Ribs.

Though uncertain of its gender, October could not subdue the infatuation she had for Ribs.  Like a magnet to metal she found herself drawn constantly to the comfortable little groove between its ears, or tooth roots (to those who were convinced that Ribs was in fact a mutated tooth). The two were inseparable and it is still assumed that they will be together for ever… maybe even the proud Monanimal parents of baby Quadromolars.
